If I'm eligible for an upgrade does that mean my contract is up? The reason I ask is because I might be switching companies pretty soon if I am out of contract. Any AT&T reps here that can answer that for me?

When you are eligible to upgrade does not mean your contract is up.

Your contract could be any where from at minimum of 4 months out all the way up to a year out. It all depends on how much your bill costs every month, and if you are the primary line on the account (taking into consideration you might be on a family plan).

The more your number costs, the sooner you can upgrade to a new phone.
