I have just got my first tablet after many years with PCs and a laptop.
Although now living in Portugal, I originally from the UK and I am getting very frustrated with apps like 'Play Book' serving me up a load of titles in Portuguese and even Chrome had to be set to always translate which of course slows down your browsing experience significantly and led to me downloading Opera.
This is despite me having set the 'settings' on the tablet and in my Google account to 'English' and having the 'location' settings turned off.
If this is normal behavior, then, in my opinion, the Google / Android developers need to address this problem. It is not acceptable to take away end-user choice
like this.
