install astro file manager from the market, then use it to navigate to the .apk file. clicking on the file should prompt you to open app manager, which will let you install.

how do i install apk files on a tablet running android 2.2?
thanks in advance,

Since it is running 2.2 its essentially just a big phone so you should be able to do anything a phone should do.

if you are having trouble with astro, make sure application manager in settings has the unknown sources checked.

and perhaps use apk manager from the market.

I have a craig cmp738b tablet pc, and I am trying to install a custom recovery and rom, however, I cannot navigate the recovery because my tablet does not have a volume up/down buttons. I tried to upload a custom recovery (clockworldmod) but it says that the directories are not found and I just don't know what to do. I modified my optimus s and it works great. Any idea if I do manage to flash the reborn v2 rom if the tablet will still work correctly? Any help would be great.
