Android Central Question

Ive been recording audio files using the Audio Recorder App by Sony Mobile for sometime now with no issues.
Yesterday I went to rename some of my recordings and had no issue playing them back. Today they are now showing as 0 byte files and I am unable to play them no matter in the recorder app or any other music app. I attempted to rename them back to there orginal names with no luck. Pulled the Wav files onto a PC into Audacity and VLC with no luck. Any suggestions as to how I can get this issue resolved so I can play these files again. Samsung note 10+ on Android 11.
Thank you

Thanks for your reply- I'm signed up now! I did not have anything sony- it was simply an app that I had from the app store that I've been using for years.

Do you recall if this only started after a recent update (either of the system or the app)? If so, then something in the update probably caused the issue. If that app was designed for Sony phones, then it might be more liable to become faulty after an update on a different phone.
