I am about to purchase a Nook Color this evening. One of the first things I will be doing is rooting stock. I don't want to try Froyo, CM7 or HC until they are more stable.
I know you need to check for the version type of firmware before you root it. Does it really matter which one I am on?
For example, if I am on 1.01, should I update it to 1.1 so I can use Auto Nooter 3.0? Or is it preferable to root with an older firmware version? This doesn't seem logical but it seems I have read hints about this being true for the NC.
Also, will a 2 GB MicroSD work in rooting this with Auto nooter?
