Just curious is it still as accurate or fast as when you first got it or even improved over time?

Mine seems to work fine and accurate still when I do use it. But I use the face unlock most of the time which also works very quickly and accurately.

Thanks for feedback, I know the face unlock is lighting quick on my regular 1+6 don't even see my notification sometimes lol

Yeah same with the 6t. I use that most of the time but in darker conditions where it doesn't pickup the fingerprint reader works fine and quick enough for me. It also works well when using google pay as well. The only thing I would say that is a drawback for it with google pay is you can't have your finger on it or ready to go like you can with a standard fingerprint sensor. So with this phone I have to hold my phone to the card reader and then it shows the fingerprint and I can scan my fingerprint then move it back to the card reader to pay. So that would be the only drawback I have found with the in screen fingerprint sensor.

Cool , now with banking apps you can log in with in screen fingerprint scanner ..thanks

Thanks , I dont know if you knew but for face id in dark rooms in settings it has face light assistant.

You're welcome. I did know that and I do have it turned on but sometimes it gets so bright and blinding at certain times that the fingerprint sensor is just a better alternative becuase with the assist it does take a bit longer to recognize your face. Thank you though.

Hahaha that light is bright the assistant lighting . Lit up my whole dark room and blinded me in the process lol.

The OnePlus 6 line sounds so awesome! Glad the on-screen fingerprint scanner is still working well for you guys! I was admittedly skeptical about it when I heard about it, but now I want to try it out!

Have you decided what phone will be your next upgrade?

No clue! Haha. The OnePlus 7, the Google Pixel 4, and the LG G/V-series phones are all ones I'm looking at! Are you going to get the OP 7?

Those are good options
I most likely will get the 1+7 if they keep price close to what is now and most likely get the pixel 4xl. Those are 2 phones that got my attention for 2019 so far.

Yup, OP and Pixel are where it's at! It'd be nice if OnePlus added some degree of water resistance (not splash resistance) to their phones... But I am unsure if they will go that route.

They do have some type of splash resistant already probably not ip rated though

Right! I knew they had some type of splash-resistant feature. Which would probably suffice for me. But I'd like that extra bit of protection for my phone.

I just put the McLaren fingerprint animation on my normal 6t and what a difference!

I know people have mentioned that they thought it speeds things up, but it's certainly true!

Makes it lightning fast!

That's great to hear , how's it at night time ?

I've found that if you lock then unlock with your fingerprint right before you pay it keeps you from having to lift, unlock, then re-tap to pay. Saves time and the impression that you're a boomer with new technology, lol.
