1.8 GB of RAM?

Hi,

I have a new Nexus 7 and I'm loving it so far! One thing that struck me as odd is that it displays 1.8 GB of RAM instead of 2 (see attached screenshot). Any idea why is that?

A portion of RAM is dedicated to tasks not available to the user in dynamic allocation and is not displayed. It provides a more realistic perception of the amount of memory in use that can be dynamically optimized.

Interesting! I never noticed that with my old Nexus 7 with only 1 GB of RAM.

Yeah, I remember double checking spec sheets a few times on my first Nexus.
