I just purchased some 10 foot cables from Amazon. Plugged it in last night. Said was charging, but not fast charge. This morning less charge then when started. So clearly, these cables do not work.

So, has anyone purchased a 10 foot that do fast charging and works? Or is 10 feet too long?

Can you not just get a regular power extension cable and plug the charger into that

We need on long one for the car. Etc. Just trying to see if technically, is there a length limit for these usb c cables to charge correctly. I know the one that came with the phone works. 10 foot, of the brand I bought, did not. So what have others found?

You might want to try and Anker charging cable... not sure what brand the ones you purchased are, but maybe a more reputable brand that has a return policy.

I've never had fast charging work anywhere that I wasn't using my correct charging brick for fast charging. doubt you have that in the car.

We bought fast charging auto cigarette plug ins that quick charge fine.. they also will quick charge two devices at the same time.

Quick charge 3.0 for car will work. As for the USB c cables, they are mostly unreliable. I use choetech from Amazon and it doesn't fast charge unless I replug it like 3 times 3 different ways. Stick with Samsung chargers if possible.

Buy a six ft Anker cable... they work very well and six ft cable almost always comes in handy.

A little pricey but I grabbed an Insignia (BB Brand) 10ft cable for $29 at the time I bought the Note. Still delivers a fast charge via the supplied adapter.

Bought a 10 ft braided Modal cable from Best Buy, fast charges as it should. Bit pricey at 34 bucks unless you work there like I do or have reward certificates lol

I'm not an electrician or anything but I'm pretty sure it has to do with the resistance in the longer cables that can prevent fast changing. I went through this issue a while back and even with quality cables I don't think I ever got a 10' that fast charged and definitely nothing any longer.

Okay, here is what I have as data at the moment. The focus is not the cable, it is the charging blocks.
If I use the 10 foot cable with the samsung block with the phone, output spec 9v 1.67 a or 5v 2a it works fine, the charging says fast charge. If I use other various charging blocks from out past samsung phones, only says charging, not fast charging. and last night this did not charge the phone at all. Say output 5.3v 2 a

So at this point, unless I have a port that says quick charge 3.0, the block does not seem to charge correctly, even though it says charging, but NOT fast charging.

It's crazy, too many variables honestly. I have 3.0 chargers at home that won't fast charge with come of my iOrange-E cable.

Most of my cables that I use to charge are micro-USB cables with a USB-C adaptor and so far no issues up to 6 ft long with fast charging. Haven't tried 10 ft since I don't have a 10 ft cable, but thought this info might be useful to people who don't know you can still use your micro-USB for fast charging using a USB-C adaptor.
