10+ reset issues

Okay long story but i need to get into my brother in laws note 10+. He has died and locked it with a pattern password. I purchased dr fone assuming it would unlock it but it was not until it factory reset that i realised it does not support the 10+. Either way a factory reset i thought would reset the password but i still get the password unlock screen come up but it wont let me put a password in to it.

Welcome to Android Central, and our condolences for your brother-in-law's passing. Unfortunately, there is no way to bypass that security feature, and we don't allow discussions about it, even for these kinds of situations. An unauthorized factory reset (i.e., without entering the password associated with the phone) will just activate Factory Reset Protection. I suggest contacting Samsung directly and seeing if they have any solutions. Good luck!
