12001 Erorr - Nexflix App

The Netflix app opens and I can browse titles. If I attempt to launch a video it will not play and cites a 12001 error. I can't find anything definitive online so far.

is this the first time you are using the app? Are you in any network that blocks netflix?

App couldnt contact the netflix service. I assume Netflix works on Nexus 7 unless you have a different tablet.

I just read a number of 12001 error threads on xda and other sites. try googling some more. good luck

Clearing the data in the app did the trick.
