Hi there,
My first post :)
I have a Samsung a5 (2017). My data storage is about 6-7GB, but my overall storage is 19.2 GB. Does that mean my system storage is 12 or 13 GB?!

I've seen a post saying it might be bloatware but I don't know what that is or how to.get rid of it!

Any help gratefully received. (My husband has the same problem on the same model of phone. )

Welcome to Android Central! From what I can find on the web, the OS and bloatware on that phone usually takes up about 9-10 GB, so I'm not quite sure what the 2-3 GB discrepancy would be from. If you ever do a factory reset, it'd be interesting to see how much internal storage is taken up before you install anything else.

You generally can't get rid of preinstalled bloatware. You can probably disable at least some of those apps, though, by going to Settings>Apps, selecting the app, and tapping Disable. This will uninstall all updates to the app, prevent it from updating in the Play Store or Galaxy Apps Store, and prevent it from opening into RAM.
