Whiskey tango fox!? I've done my best to refrain from jumping in the whiners-wagon but this is insulting.

Nevermind the silent non-launch. Nevermind the OFFICIAL holiday ad running over black Friday for 199(OOPS!) Nevermind that Germany, Japan, the UK & Canada have this phone TODAY. Nermind that we have not heard an official peep (other than the holiday ad) from the "leading" wireless provider. And lets not even talk about the pricing & release announced for South-freaking-Africa...

Bell is launching it for 159 (Canadian $$!) on contract & VZ wants us to pay almost TWICE THAT!?! AYFKM!? This is a new low. Even for Verizon.

Corporate dogs love to whine about the supposed free market & competition & big-bad government bending them over, but all they really want is to monopolize the market so they can gouge the ever-loving !$*#%! out of us without even having to maintain plausible deniability. There is already no competition with Verizon in the market & now they're just flaunting it.

Canada, Japan, Germany & the UK. Hipsters in Paris will see this phone before we do. That's right, I said it: FRANCE!

And we are absolutely powerless to do anything about it. There are no "vanilla" android handsets available & no other carriers with comparable coverage. God Bless it all...

Most 4G smartphones are $250-$300, so the prices aren't surprising to me. You should be more angry that Canadians charge so little for it!

I think they have a 3 year contract... I'd rather pay $100 more and be only on contract for two years....

Dude, have you seen the value of the US dollar lately? Seriously though, that $159 Canadian price is for a three year contract.

And aren't the Canadian versions only 16GB? Not 100% sure on that, but seemed like the VZW nexus was the only one going to be 32GB for sure....

Oh I guess I didn't realize Canadian dollars where of equal currency exchange rate as USA dollars. Are they?

Ok, 16 gigs & 3 years. That doesn't change the fact that friggn' Canadians have it & we don't. So I say again, with only slightly less rage & animosity: whiskey tango fox. Yes, I meant to punctuate with a period.

With the fed planning another round of quantitative easing, the US dollar will be worthless soon after the euro collapses. So, that may explain some of the price difference. But as a consumer you have every right to be angry with big red. In fact, that is the great thing about a free market economy. If you don't like what company A offers, take your business to company B. Or choose not to participate at all. No one is requiring you to purchase cell phone service...yet...(the precedent set by Obamacare's individual mandate may change that someday).

Thank you for the glorious propaganda, Myster, but along with your uninformed doomsday predictions you also missed my point entirely: there is no company B. And living without a mobile phone is professional suicide in today's world. My OG is on its last proverbial leg so, yes, I *need* a new device. Upgrading to anything other than a SGN would imply limited understanding of the situation. Much like your take on currency markets. Tell Glenn Beck I said hello!

Hehe, first world problems. You kids and your wants versus needs. Makes me smile.

No company B? So AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, Cricket, etc, are just figments of our imaginations?
