Anyone think this charger is worth the $35 price tag?? I want to get an extra to take to work or travel in case I would need it. Just not sure if I want to fork out the $35 for it or not.

It's one of the few that supports USB PD so it'll be pricier than most. I did find some third party ones on Amazon that support PD but reviews were sketchy. I ended up ordering one from the Google store to have a spare for my Pixel.

Yeah, that's what I want to do. I will probably just buy it for a spare too. I'd hate to buy one on Amazon and it not work and end up buying it from Google anyways.

I ordered 2 extra USB C chargers from Anker for my HTC 10. Forget what they cost, but not anywhere close to $35. Anker has high quality stuff. Been happy with them for a long time.

Anyone know why Google uses the annoying Type-C to Type-C cable instead of Type-A (charger end) to Type-C (phone end) like everyone else? Hotels, airports, cars all still have Type-A sockets, and having to carry two cables in the bag is inconvenient.

Samsung pumps quite a bit of voltage/amps through their Type-A to Type-C setup, so I can't imagine it's got anything to do with amps/volts. Even my Nexus 5X which doesn't have the latest "7 hours in 15 mins" spec shipped with this annoying C-C cable.
