1gb SD card to 8gb SDHC

So I wanted a larger memory card in my phone, so I went and bought a 8 gb SDHC card. I get home put it in my card reader and slide it into my USB port on my 4 year old Compaq Presario. Then my compter will not read the card.

A little google searching and I find out I need a SDHC card reader.

So now I am wondering if my Hero will recogonize the card. I already deleted my music off of my card and copied all files to another folder. I was just going to transfer all of that to the new card and then put that in the phone.

Can someone tell me if the Hero's can accept a 8gb SDHC card and if my thinking in right on how to transfer the files?

Also someone said I need to format the SDHC card with fat32 to get the most memory out of it. Does this sound right.

I will be picking up the new reader tomorrow. Unless I can drop it in the phone and then mount it to my pc and then transfer the files?

Any help is appreciated.

phone should recognize it and most micro sdhc cards come formatted as fat32 already. just drop it in your phone and go
