1SaleADay 2013-03-21 Refurbished Google Nexus 7 8GB $139.99

With free shipping, it could be a good option for somebody on the fence waiting for the next version. Get the refurb for $140 shipped. Use it for 4 months. Then decide if they want to buy the nextus generation, stay with the original, or maybe a 7" tablet isn't right for them. In case 1 or 3, they can probably sell the used Nexus 7 for $125 locally, so for $15 and some inconvenience, they can do an extended test drive with a 7" Android JB tablet.

Do you think it's a good idea to purchase a refurbished N7? I heard reports that the earlier models have the screen lifting effect. Personally, I'm not too picky about my tablets; is the screen lifting mainly an aesthetic problem or does it affect functionality or is there a risk of the screen falling off entirely?

I have to say this is tempting, but in the end, I suspect the Nexus 8 or whatever it's called will be superior, as well as be available in 16,32 or maybe even 64 gig formats and possibly with an microSD slot and more.. And while saving $60 is nice, I would think that when it's released the 32 gig N7 will drop price quickly to nearly what this is selling for..I also suspect they will have worked out the various bugs of the N7 in the next generation.. Personally while I'd love to have an N7 I think I'll wait and see what the next gen tablet brings :)

I just got one for my kids to abuse! + I get to check it out ( I have a EEPad transformer and Nexus 4 otherwise) - was thinking about getting a TMO enabled one, so this test will serve me well.
