1st Watch face code example needed please

I'm trying to learn to code my 1st watch face.
I need a digital one with date and a list of up coming appointments like the "Basic Event" one in the gear app.
But I also need something a bit more complicated: I get paid every 4 weeks not per calender month eg today (Sun 29 Nov) is Period 10 (of 13), Week 2. I need that on the watch face too. Something like "P10/W2" would work.
Could someone please work out the basic code I need for this watch face so I could then tweak it myself as needed.

You can easily create a repeating event on Google calendar that repeats every 4 weeks. Sync to the watch and you get the events on any watch face that list events. Why code yourself if you don't have to?

I've actually just found Wearable Widgets & Zooper so I've gone with that instead, as you say why code?
