i wish they had done more with the player. it looks better, but now especially compared with the new gallery, horribly out of place.

no, it's just mainly a reworking of the UI. there are tabs on top instead of the "main menu" for album, artist, songs, etc

and the album art (provided it is embedded) becomes the background when looking through an album.

very small update...i'm really hoping 2.1.1 ads a media player that fits in with the rest of the overhaul that's going on with android's apps.... :\

I hope so too. I've been using MixZing, which does download the album art, but it would be great if they added this functionality to the built in one.

i've been using nemoplayer from the acer UI, it's pretty nice i think...kind of excited to see if someone can rip the media player out of the rachel UI once it gets around
