i'm sorry i'm sure this has been re-iterated a hundred times, but what happens when the update arrives to rooted phones, should i take any pre-cations like unrootintg-if so how?? should i even need to worry about it?

It shouldn't be a problem on just rooted phones. If you have a custom rom, you will need to get rid of it for the update. Custom roms disable OTA updates.

I have no idea if the sholes rom blocks ota updates I look at the sholes site and they should say if it blocks it or not.
Just look at who built your Tom and see if they block ota. If they do and you want the update us one that doesn't

Yes but if you still have the custom recovery image your going to have to allow it to update

When you reboot into recovery what does your phone say at the top. If you rooted and have installed any custom roms your probably useing sir psycho's recovery image and that blocks the installation automatically

unfortunately for me sir psycho's recovery image is still installed, how do i uninstall it?

Go into your system and find recovery boot old copy that back to your sdcard and rename it to recovery.img. then use adb or terminal and use this command flash_image recovery/sdcard/recovery.img

Or change it to 99.0b if you have droid root pro put it in the tools folder sand use droid root pro to install it

So if I'm running sholes 2.0.5 and i want to get the update I can just flash back to stock and not have to do anythiny else?

yes, just go into the sholes updater and click 2.01 back to stock. then wait until its done.. poof, your done.

well let's hope they figure out a way to get root with 2.1 becausethe current exploithas been fixed
