2.1 Update On eBay Eris

I thought creating a new thread for the question may be helpful since many people purchase phones off eBay or Craigs List because they not be in an upgrade window on their VZW account.

Of course my Droid Eris is connected to my VZW account and obviously lists my phone number in settings - does the fact that I bought it off eBay vs getting it 'directly' from VZW pose any issue you folks think in regards to receiving the mythic, fabled 2.1?

dam i read the name and thought it was the update for sale on ebay and to answer your question if it does not come to your phone be it self you can always do it manually

The only issues with getting something from Ebay with the 2.1 leak will be the possibliy of not being able to get the OTA. But, nobody knows just yet. If you did get a phone from ebay with 2.1, its going to be a leak version, and so you jump in the boat with all of us who are testing 2.1 leak.

We'll find out within the next 2 weeks since its being rolled out finally. So... the answer to this will be disclosed soon!
