2.2 and VZ Nav

I have seen several posts stating that Verizon has forced the VZ navigator app on us ( asking for a subscription) on this OTA. I also saw someone say that their Google nav doesn't work anymore for free, because you have to pay for Verizon nav. Please someone tell me this is not true or I will not install froyo.

The Froyo update does come with VZNav preinstalled, along with a formatted section of the internal memory that pops up once you plug your phone in that contains the "modem drivers" for use with the 3G hotspot. However you are not forced to buy a subscription to use VZNav as long as you don't plan on using it. And Google Navigation is still available and working. So no it isn't completely true
