I have been having issues with my phone receiving calls intermittently and pushing texts to my phone as a batch. After digging, it looks like this is related to the froyo upgrade and is a known issue with Verizon giving phone upgrades to those affected. Unfortunately, my phone took a dip in a lake long before I started to have this issue and it tripped the moisture sensors so I don't qualify for the upgrade. I am new to rooting and installing kernels/roms/themes but it seems to me that if the issue was the software push, changing the software should/could fix the issue, correct? I have rooted my phone but have yet to flash anything to it. Will flashing a clean, rooted version of 2.2 fix the issue, or should I be looking to a different build? If the latter, what do you guys recommend? I'm a bit overwhelmed by the options...
