I use Google Voice exclusivly for texting and no notifications are getting pushed to my phone after switching to 2.2. Anyone else having this issue?

I still have gmail getting pushed with notifications.

I'm having this issue as well. For a temporary fix, you could have a notification sent to your gmail in the settings. You'll have to enable this on the gv site since the option doesn't appear in the app.

im getting the same problem. i go to the google voice app settings and try and turn "synchronize inbox" on, but it says "Failed to save setting"

The failure to synch happened to me as well, but it also has happened on 2.1. I uninstalled and reinstalled and its back working now. The synch problem was on googles end I belive, not the phone.

I signed out/signed in several times and uninstalled/reinstalled. but still can't get it to notify me when the GV sms comes in. As soon as I go into the GV app, the sms's show up.

i uninstalled and reinstalled and everything works awesome!! now there are no flaws for 2.2 on my phone!

I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling several times, and it still doesn't seem to get SMS's until I actually open up the GV app. Very frustrating. So far, this is the only thing that's been a problem on froyo for me.

I've had this same problem. After updating last night I haven't received any notifications without loading the program first. I have tried to reinstall with no luck. Here's to hoping for an application update soon!

I was doing that but ended up too frustrated so I backed up and then went to Cyanogen. 8\

I read the last patch notes and 2.2 was already supported with the last patch.

Did you just do that for the app? Or the whole ROM?

I didn't feel like reading the posts. so forgive me if this has already been said, I'm just trying to help. But if you go to settings> applications> manage applications> Google Voice. Then select to Clear the data as well as force close the application. then when you open it next you will have to re-setup the app. But all should be corrected. Sorry if this is a repeat

No one has mentioned this idea yet but I would imagine its similar to uninstalling and reinstalling the whole app. I went ahead and tried it and still no luck. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Well perhaps your phone is having trouble pulling down data. did you flash the baseband update? you can grab it over at Droid-Life.com if that doesnt fix the problem, Droid-Life is likely to be posting a new version of Froyo for the droid tomorrow. and this one is actually going to be a test build and not a custom ROM like we're all running currently.

Thanks, I'll try the baseband update. I did the whole uninstall reinstall thing with a soft reset and it didn't work for me either. 8\

Ok its fixed now. The problem doesn't seem to be with Google Voice at all but rather the ROM we are using. There has been a new update leaked which fixes a couple issues from the last build. You can download it at Droid-Life.com.

Since updating to FRF57 GV works along with the Chrome to Phone application. Hope this helps everyone!

I've not tried. 800 is great for me for now. I am assuming that BB for 2.2 will be released within the week so I'm holding off till then so I can do a clean wipe and then try for higher OC's.

I found my problem was that i was trying to use clockwork to install the new kernel. But it kept failing. It only took one try with SPrecovery for me to regain my 1GHz speed.
