2.3.4 out of the box?

Hello. I am thinking of snagging a Dinc 2 from Amazon for free. What are the chances that the phone has the "Un S-Off-able" 2.3.4 installed out of the box? And am I correct in thinking that as long as it has 2.3.3 I would be good to go correct? Thanks.

I got mine in Nov. (2weeks before the red Dinc2 ) direct from VZW...2.3.4 And Sense 2.1 out of the box

I'm curious because I picked up a used incredible 2 on ebay and it has android version 2.3.3. The phone reports a software version of 2.18.605.3. I tried to do an update and it said my software is up to date?

Try booting it hboot. Volume rocker down and power on the device. Look at the very top of the screen and see if you are s-off. It sounds like you may have an already rooted device.

I believe there is a way to roll back to the root-able version of the h boot driver. Check the root section and see if is still posted as working.
