Apparently only I9020A (GSM/AT&T 3G compatible bands) are getting this update as of now. Not sure if it will roll out for the rest of us.

that update on sprints site is i think from the beginning of august, but yet none of us have gotten it.

its not the 2.3.6 that some att/canada carrier users are getting.

I get my Nexus S 4G in a couple of days. Just wanting to know how I receive these updates? Are they automatic? Is there a setting in the phone where I can click to check for upgrades?

You should get a pop up ask if you want to download and apply the OTA. You can also go to settings>about phone>system updates to check to see if there's any updates.

Let me be clearer I guess. Hate android update process. Not the actual updates.

Well that isn't the case across all android phones that they are OTA only. I know at least some Samsung, HTC and LG android handsets that the software updates could be done from a computer with downloadable software. (and technically, for the nexus, it doesn't have to be OTA either, I didn't update my NS4G to 2.3.5 via OTA, I manually did it).

Awesome. Kinda like my Blackberry Storm where I go to settings to see (except there were NEVER updates for it haha)

Nice. I'm more interested in knowing why Google wallet was supposedly coming this summer and here itnis Sept and not even a word on why the delay.

Can bet your bottom dollar it's because the company to which you work for, that warranted that discount. Don't be so quick to point the finger at Sprint.

You're right. I called to inquire, and they were more than willing to change it in their system and credit my account for the difference this month.

Hmm. This wallet app now. Do you need to be running 2.3.6 or can you just use it as an app is my question. I guess I'm assuming correctly in thinking you need 2.3.6 as it's for Sprint only right now.

Edit: The Google Wallet site now says pushing to nexus s on Sprint through software update.
