2 Questions for people who have gotten their Note 3

Well, looking at my note 2, it's supposed to have 2gb of ram, but it says max is 1.75, I believe it's normal.

The rest could be dedicated to video. Not sure exactly how soc works but in a 32bit computer you only get 3.5gb of total ram. So if you have a 2gb video card in a computer you get 1.5gb of system ram maximum left over. Seeing as this is a 32bit phone, the max it could ever have is 3.5gb. So my guess is they the phone has a total of 3gb and .5gb is dedicated to video. Could be way off as I said I am not sure how phone systems work.

Also, thought the CPU was clocked at 2.3ghz? 2.26 is a good way off from 2.3.

My understanding is that the 500mb is dedicated to the OS itself. 2.5gb of ram is still a beast. My hopes is that the extra ram will make the phone itself snappier. I couldn't care less about the actual number itself. iPhones come with 1gb of ram, and they're smooth as butter.

There is some ram alright. Now it looks like 1.47/2.38gb, but I have already have had one complaint about out of memory. Then that figure was closer to the max. I hope it was because the device had just finished installing all my Play programs, and I opened one pdf to a not so good pdf reader (Smart Office 2). In either case, this is the most Iv ever had in any of my android devices.

Oh, and the os takes the rest and doesn't show it in the figure without a 3rd party software. That is how it has always been with Samsung and has nothing to do with bits and limits.

In the marketing world, no one wants to see double digits behind the decimal point, 2.26 rounds up to 2.3 when using one digit behind decimal point accuracy.
