2 Root or Not 2 Root?

Hello Everyone! I have been reading for a lont time, but just recently joined...this is my first post (be gentle..)

I have a question about rooting my Droid Bionic...since the OTA is coming out next month, would it be wise to wait until after the update to root my phone?

When the update comes out, Will i be able to unroot, accept the OTA update, and then re-root my phone? I read somewhere that if i accept the OTA update while rooted, that it might brick my phone.

My plan at the moment is to root the phone, and pay for Titanium Backup to freeze unwanted bloatware. I am going to wait to flash ROMs until after the update comes out.
