I bought my LG G2 2 weeks ago in the retain unlimited data glitch for 139.00. Today is day 14 and I have to say I just love this phone.
The screen is just lovely, so crisp to my eye and the colors appear natural. I have been able to customize the device with the phone's settings and Apex Pro launcher
and it just works really well for me.
I've enjoyed adding apps that my old Droid X was not compatible with. It's fast with no lag and the battery is lasting a lot longer than my old phone in spite of the fact that I am on it constantly ;=)
I have used smart keyboard pro for years and actually prefer the LG keyboard on the phone. I love the clip tray app too. I am a big fan of clip tray on my PC and use Copipe on my phones as well as clipmate on the PC.
The native messaging app is fine. No need to put back Handcent. Email remains a challenge. I am using the stock app for my pop3 and gmail accts. I am not a Gmail user, only have it for the phone. I have tried a bunch of email apps but none allow for folders in my pop3 or any kind of filtering so as long as I have an easy to read UI and the ability to select ALL and delete, I can live with it and use it for both accounts. I use K9 on my Nexus 7 2013 but I find that tablet vs phone apps vary a lot and screen real estate colors things a lot. For example News360 and Flipboard look differently on my devices.
I like Chrome but use Dolphin browser for it's many add-ons, password manager etc that work with some websites I need to access.
Muisc..eh. It's a phone, I think that no matter how hard I try, music does not sound great on any of these devices I have tried. I bought Neutron player as I think it sounded the best of the lot. As for services, I tried Spotify, Google all access and a few others and Pandora and they are not worth the time/money for me personally.
Call quality remains a question, sounds ok with some static at one point yesterday but no screeching and so forth - never have heard that. I probably use this the least as a phone and for that it is ok at this time. I hope whatever issues may be, LG will update and resolve them. It is not worth the crap shoot for me to exchange and get a phone that has serious issues.
Love the wireless charging. Not sold on the revolutionary button placement, especially since VZW's buttons are smaller. I struggle to find the buttons on the old layouts, so I am not the best judge of this ;=)
Camera seems ok so far. I have not played enough and I am not a photo person really so I would never speak to that topic really. I know my droix X did a great job. Only time will tell as I use it.
