Why is there still, and has only been one single 200gb microsd card avaible for over a year now? I just pre-ordered a s7 and of course i would prefer a samsung sd card, but when googling for it i cant even find a trace or info about any other Sd card for the first 20 pages, it is all SanDisk.

Re: 200gb microsd card

In Marshmallow, expandable storage was the perfect complement to put everything on the sd card. Samsung has on purpose decided to deactivate this feature saying they don’t want people pulling out the microSD card while it’s being used for adoptable storage and potentially making a mess of things. A dealbreaker for me.

That is one reason why adaptive storage is a stupid idea. Plus you have a mess if the sd card gets corrupt

Why only up to 200gb supported for the MicroSd card on the S7? My LG G4 states up to 2TB.

Perhaps because only 200gb is out at release. Many other phones have done this in the past. But really it should work with anything meeting the standard

Where does it state that? IIRC the G4 states "microSD, up to 128 GB (dedicated slot)"

The G5 does say up to 2TB. I think that's more their way of saying "we support the spec fully" rather than limiting to a size. I suspect the S7 would also support that capacity if it were available.

Better question, do either one support UHS-II cards?
