There has been a lot of rumours going around about a 2nd gen Nexus 7 along with it being said that it may be the first to have Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie running the show, as opposed to KLP being on a new Nexus 5 handset. Many people believe this to be the case as the word is that Google are getting ready to launch a new budget 7 inch tablet at the upcoming I/O. On the other hand there have been rumours going around that Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie may be delayed.
The 2nd generation 2013 Google Nexus 7 may be in the stores in July so as to steal people away from a release of the iPad Mini 2, if Apple announces it of course. However we have heard that Key Lime Pie could have a delay of between 2 to 4 months. But the thing is Google haven?t given a release date, or even said anything about a new OS, so how could it be delayed?
So the big question is, if there is a delay of Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie, which OS would be revealed on the new Nexus 7 second generation? Maybe it would be an early version of Android 5.0? This would then give a taster of what was on the way. It may be possible that we will see another version of Android, Jelly Bean 4.3?
If you look back at the history of releases, May would be the perfect time to release the tablet. This is due to the fact that the LG Nexus 4 came out in November of last year. So chances are the 2nd generation Google Nexus 7 tablet could be the first device to gobble up Key Lime Pie, and not a Nexus 5 phone, makes sense.
