2016 update - bleeping & water ripple

[AC Question]

Ever since I updated my S6, my phone will make a bleeping sound and I notice what looks like a blue water ripple graphic on the screen by the home button. I don't know what the significance of this is...starting to get a bit annoying.

On my S7, I only see the water ripple effect on plugging in a charger. Not sure on the beep.

Yes, the graphic is the same when I plug in the charger..but on my S6 it seems to do it randomly...or I haven't figured out what it's linked to. The sound is coincidentally the same as my default notification sound but I can't connect the "alert" to anything..

Welcome to Android Central! Check the phone's microUSB port to make sure it's completely clear of debris. Blow it out with a can of compressed air.
