2017 HTC on dowload mode

[Android Central Question]

I have an old HTC that I try to force factory reset and I discovered that it was already download mode, I'm not very well versed this sort of technology I've seen that you can connect it to a PC and do it from there but I have no idea how to I just want to know if I can how can I factory reset it from the actual phone

Welcome to Android Central! Download Mode is just a way to transfer a firmware file from a computer to the phone, if you wanted to flash a new firmware. you should be able to force a shutdown by pressing and holding Power for about 30 seconds. Then try to boot into Recovery Mode. How to boot into that mode might depend on the HTC phone that you have, so you need to let us know which one you have.

Can u get into recovery? That's where u factory reset if can't get into phone
