Looks like the Verizon gnexus is gonna have a huge 2100mah battery!

7.77/3.7*1000=2100

I know it will have a larger battery than the GSM variant but I didn't think it would have THAT big of a battery. By the way, how do you know this is the SCH-I515's battery?

I am also skeptical, just based on it having "Near Field Communication" printed on it. Why would that exist in the battery if there's actual hardware built into the phone itself?

True...is this from the samsung site selling batteries and covers?
Further clarification: the equation we use is P=I*V where p is power and stated on the battery as 7.77 Watt hours. For one hour that's 7.77 watts. V is voltage and is also stated to be 3.7 volts. Plugging in and solving for I, the current, gives 2.1 amps. Since this, too, is for one hour, this can be interpreted as 2.1 amp hours. Convert to milliamps by multiplying by 1000 gives 2100 milliamp hours

They have that same battery listed as 1750 mah on their website. It's for the Nexus Prime i515. If those calculations are right, they have the mah wrong. I hope they're wrong.

I notice that too, but didn't do the math. I was expecting to see something along the lines of 6.5Wh. This looks promising. I hope this is the actual battery we will get.

Yes, it's the same battery shown on Samsung's site from the other thread. But, Samsung's site says it's a 1750 mAh battery. The web page description and image can all be placeholders for now though. All that said, the calculation appears correct.

It's very possible they put the right image in, but used the same description for the GSM battery that would be 1750 mah. Man I hope that's correct.

Ahhhh why do they do this to us...
but I do remember some old rumors talking about the lte version having a bigger battery. Hope it's true.

Here is a link: Nexus Prime i515 Standard Battery 1750 mAH

The picture and the description don't match and one or the other will surely change at some point. I'm hoping it the description.

Originally, was thinking the picture might be of the battery for the Galaxy Note, but they are claiming 2500mAh on that battery.

How much do you want to bet that Samsung and Verizon discovered poor battery performance during live beta tests on VZW's LTE network, and decided to increase battery size to compensate (thus interrupting their pending scheduled release)?

Would make sense, as Samsung would have to stamp new backs for the phone to compensate for the newer, thicker battery. That type of modification wouldn't take long to fab and produce, as it's just a deeper plastic backing for the phone, which may have led to a few more weeks' worth of delay from the original scheduled release?

Hmmm....

Wouldn't be the first device delayed by a last-minute change. Not to say that I would be averse to a delay that included a larger capacity battery, at all :)

Anyway, just speculating...

You might not be, but from the looks of it around here, nobody wants to wait any longer lol

well doesnt their site also list the back cover being for the nexus prime?

I'm guessing the battery image is correct, and the site is wrong about 1750mah.

I'd be perfectly fine with a little thicker phone if the battery is that big. Heck I have a super thick phone now and the battery is only 1400mah so 2100 would be amazing.

Not really concerned, since I usually purchase an extra battery with my phones + extra charger (for office) + car charger.

I am not concerned.. but as far as carrying an extra battery around I really hope I dont have to stoop to the level of my friends with HTC evo 4g's that we constantly tease about their need to carry batterys around.

I really dont think its impossible to make a phone that doesnt need extra carry around batteries, a case to keep it from breaking if it falls, and a screen protector to keep the screen from scratching or breaking.. why? because I already have a phone that does all of that.. the Fascinate..

But its time to upgrade.. and my phone has flaws in other areas.. mainly : gps sucks, froyo sucks.
