So on Wed the 14th I finally broke down and ordered the 2150mAh battery from Verizon's site. The battery arrived the next day (thanks to free overnight shipping from verizon) and I have to say that I'm already amazed.

The initial charge took a while but I expected that. Afterwards I noticed how much longer it took to drop from 100% and just in general how much more I could have running and not kill it instantly.

The size of the battery and back, to me, is perfect. The weight makes it feel more secure in your hands and still fits in my pocket just as well.

As I did with the original stock battery I started the conditioning process last night. This was actually difficult because it was hard to kill the battery. I had to turn on Bluetooth, GPS, and Wifi and then run Pandora off the wifi overnight and still had 5% left when I woke up.

So overall I'd highly recommend one, I felt better that it was actually released by HTC (which also meant the back cover looked as nice as the original)

Glad your happy with your battery. Just so you know though, you don't have to condition Litium Ion batterys, infact they like to be charged frequently and kept charged.

Can you post a pic of the phone with the extended battery and new back on it? Also, do they make any cases like the glossy silicone ones that fit with the extended battery in it?

Take a look here CRKhead did some comparison shots between the Seidio 3500 mAh battery and the HTC 2150 battery.

With this phone, an extended battery is always well worth the investment.

Just a note, on Chris's comment, you are correct in regards to memory with Lithium ion vs the old style battery. The memory issue on the old ones would effect it in annoying ways. If you charged to full from a half charge, the battery would only remember the half charge and would half charge it from then on out unless you REconditioned it.

However in regards to Lithium Ion for the device AND the battery it is always recommended to do 2-3 full charge cycles. This initial "conditioning" of these types of batteries will help ensure a true "full charge" during the first few charge cycles, ensure the full cell capacity of the battery is being utilized, and condition the battery for optimal performance.

I've had devices that I did not properly condition and noticed not as good battery life as I should have had. It wasn't ridiculously significant, but would lose a couple hours of life compared to another device using the same battery.
