$25 Virgin Mobile Grandfathered account question

I have a $25 Beyond Talk phone plan with VirginMobile. I want to give it to my wife and still pay the monthly bill and get a new Beyond Talk phone for me. If I do this, will this be considered upgrading and give VM the right to terminate my grandfathered price for the old phone?

No. I will leave the grandfathered phone number as is and get a new number for the second phone. I also would like to use same credit card to auto pay both phones.

Don't see an issue only caveat is phone upgrades but you upgrade to any of the phones they allow (pretty much either the Optimus V or Triumph) under the old plans.

Since you're not even changing the phone number, nothing will actually be grandfathered. Since it will be your wife's phone you won't need to change the name on the account, and nothing at all will change on the account. Add a new line for yourself at $35/month, continue on with the $25 plan for your wife, and enjoy!

Simply give her the phone and get yourself another. If you tell vm anything they'll try to switch it.

I have a friend of mine who upgraded from the LG Rumor Touch to the One V and she was able to keep her $25 plan in February...I even spoke to customer service as I was the one who switched her phone over and they told me she would be able to keep her $25 plan...low and behold she was able to...
