25w Charger

So I went with a Samsung 25w charger instead of the 45w. It will charge from 32% to 85% in about a half hour. That's plenty fast for me. What is there to gain by going with 45w?

I skipped 25w and use 45w Ankar Nano 2.

My equipment may change when I pack and go oit/travel... My S22U, MacBook Air, Lenovo T480s, all my earbuds and headsets and battery packs.

But I only carry one adapter for them all and reduce a ton of weight and bulk.

You're actually charging at 25W. The Anker Nano 2 won't charge the S22 Ultra at 45W.

A mimic turned itself into a duplicate of my post, so I beat it to death with a rock.

Hey off the subject here......What happened to the main page? I got nuthin'. When I open the app it's blank.

You are very late to the party... I think it was February when they killed the app.

There's a thread about it in general discussion or site feedback which I am too lazy to link you to.

That's intersting. I think I did read that in another post about chargers. Now that Samsung isn't providing chargers anymore they should go with a more open charging standard so that instead of what they used in past to promote faster charging with their QC chargers so that 45w capable means 45w lol.

Personally, I don't use super fast or even fast charging so 25 is fine. I keep charging at standard to lower heat cycles and stop at 85% for my peace of mind of trying to max battery life lol. (I don't use wireless charge). But I still go with the higher charger to have one charger to cover all my devices and my laptops that will take advantage of it.

You can buy 3rd party chargers that will charge your Samsung at 25W or 45W. You just need to be sure they support PPS (programmable power standard).

I personally have several Spigen chargers that are currently less than $22 on Amazon. They are GaN, so very compact, folding prongs, and the come with a quality cable.

Here is the link:
Limited-time deal: USB C Charger, Spigen [GaN Fast] 45W Super Fast Charger, PPS Charging, Type C Charger for Galaxy S22 Ultra Plus S21 FE Z Fold 3 Flip 3 S20 Note 20 Pixel 6 Pro Tab S7 iPad(Cable Included/Foldable Plug) https://a.co/d/iVZS6Ww

Just supporting PPS isn't enough. They have to support 5A profiles, which most don't. Unless your S22 or Tab S8 displays "super fast charging 2.0" and not just " super fast charging" it's only charging at 25W.

Also, PPS stands for "Programmable Power Supply".

for reasons too unnecessary to provide here, I attempted to charge my S22U the other day with a charger for a Fanttik power pack (65W). got super fast charging on my device. nice surprise

Can I ask a question? We just got 2 x 25 watt powerbanks with our accessory credit when we got our phones. I lost the little black cable that came with it. I liked the small cable I am guessing it was a 1 foot. So do I just search on Amazon USB C to C 1 ft cable. I know for our phones and the 45 watt brick we got 100 watt Anker Cables but for the 25 watt powerbank I can just get 60 watt C to C and it will still Super Fast Charge is that correct?

Yeah my car charger says fast charging and I bought a different one once and it was supposed to say super fast charging back when I had my S21U and it didn't work. I sent it back but now I am thinking it could of been due to the cable. I am not sure if it came with one or not but I know now about 3A and 5A we upgraded our 3A/60W to 5A/100W to go with our 45 watt bricks.

The S21 Ultra charges at 3A. The cable they include in the box will charge it as fast as it can charge.
