2x as fast on all networks with 2.3.5

Im so jealous that this worked for some. I wish this improved my phone but it made mime worse. Must depend on where u live???I really love this thing but the antenna sucks. Can't get 4g where i used to get 1 bar. 3g downloads are much slower but uploads are faster using speedtest. Now instead of it talking forever to open a web page I get a data connection error. forget about Netflix at work lol. Sucks but I love this phone. Just hate using it for data

try a factory reset

That may be so, but the speedtest app is the one used by engadget and others to define the magnitude of the data speed problems and to make comparisons to other headsets so is only logical to use this tool to quantitate the benefits of the update.

Furthermore, I used the tool to make a comparison regarding change attributable to the update not to establish absolute speed numbers. The numbers are not what matters here but rather the change with the update.

It would be very interesting if you could post your comparison results here so we could have an idea of the issues with this app.

Engadget uses it cause they are too lazy to go to speakeasy.net.

9734kbps this morning in Arlington, VA!!! Used the Speed Test application to the DC server.

I never got more than half that prior to the upgrade.
