Seems to be regurgitation of rumors that were garbage to begin with. A lot of it is just taking the XDA article they sourced and rewording and reorganizing the same thoughts. My vote is we completely ignore University Herald unless they break something new with a credible source.

If Marlin and Sailfish are HTC Nexus devices and Huawei claims to be making a new Nexus this year, then math says there's three somewhere out there.
But yeah, I'd wait for an Android site to break news.

There was a rumor that Huawei was making a new Nexus 7 tablet reboot. I don't find it very credible and even the spec leaks are completely nonsense, such as having a 3000 mAh battery in a 7" tablet. That'd be flat out ridiculous and no OEM would be that stupid.
Maybe, due to the 6P's popularity, its getting a refresh and will remain on sale, along side the new versions?

Anyone who really knows anything is unable to say anything on the subject. Anyone those people have talked to also has to stay quiet so those folks don't lose their job.

LOL. I know a little that I can't talk about, but even if I could it doesn't answer most of the questions we all have. As we get closer, I'll probably learn more and then it will kill me that I can't share it.
Being able to touch and play with a Nexus 5 months before it was released was one of those things that had me bursting to talk about, but if i did three people would be out of a job.

I can say that unless there are really two Nexus partners there won't be three devices. But there very well could be two partners (we had LG and Huawei in 2105, for example). And I honestly don't know if that rumor is true.
What I know is fairly boring and doesn't answer the questions. So I have nothing of value to say, even if I could.

It has been a lot quieter this year. I remember we knew pretty much what we were getting ( 2 phones, smaller by LG, larger by Huawei) by May.
Its really annoying because I cant decide if I should go for the HTC 10 or wait for the HTC nexus..
and if I wait, and HTC ends up making the cheaper plastic version, I'll be really pissed off.
