Hi. Not seen a thread on this so starting one up.
One of the most interesting things from the Unpacked event was that starting with the S10 series, phones will get 3 years of Android updates and OS upgrades. This is brilliant as it puts my S10+ on a par with the pixel devices software-wise.
So I should get Android 12 next year as well. This gives the phone great longevity. Considering I will need to keep it another year or so, I am glad not to fall behind on Android versions.
I think with the higher prices, this is a good move by Samsung to recognise that with higher prices comes less reason to change phones as often to most people. Supporting them for longer could sway people to buy a Samsung over some cheaper brand.
What do you think?
