$300 Toshiba Thrive good first tablet? Toshiba ICS support?

I don't own a tablet at the moment, but there's this offer today:

The only thing I would like to know if there's a future to see good root and ROMs (I don't know if there are really ROMs for tablets) with this tablet. It seems like there's root, but since ICS is out already, I would like to install it since there is always a good chance for ICS not to be released officially by Toshiba.

These sold out earlier today, oh well.

I guess wait for another deal, hopefully for a more friendly root ICS tablet, Galaxy or something like that, but that probably means not any time soon.
