Does anyone use the Optimus S as their primary music device? Filled up a 32gb sd card with music and noticed any performance issues? slow downs?

Im planning on ditching my old ipod after I get the Optimus so I was just wondering how it works for you all.

And if you have any tips/apps feel free to share!

Thanks!

I use mine with a 16gb card as my primary music player. I have not run in to any issues. The first time you load the new card with all your music in to the phone it may take a little while for whatever music player you are using to index your content, but other than that I can't think of anything.

Not sure if you've had an Android phone before, but the stock music player is nowhere near as feature-filled as the iPod interface. If you are used to doing more with your iPod than picking an artist or an album to play, you'll want to investigate some 3rd party music players. I like the Winamp beta, but there are plenty of others.

Thanks for the reply!

I am (or will be) new to android so i'll definitely be checking out other music playing apps. Typically though I just stick to choosing and artist and maybe making a playlist. I don't rate songs or anything. And I would imagine streaming radio takes up battery, but anytime I do that will probably be in the car so I'll have a charger.

Thanks for the input!

I personally use Doubletwist, great iTunes clone for all non-apple devices(that are supported atleast).

I listen to audiobooks frequently, and see no difference between it and my iPod Touch.

How does doubletwist compare to winamp?

I actually never used Winamp, I used doubletwist for a previous phone before my optimus and it's just so easy. Doubletwist has a windows application line itunes that basically syncs your library to your phone and the app is the perfect pairing.

Cool. I actually use it on my Mac. I guess I'll try it on the phone as well

i would but I can't stand the equalization set up by Android and no way to change it. this was another reason for my failed attempt at CM
