360 photos from pixel 3 frequently missing majority of photo

I recently traveled to Thailand and took a bunch of 360 photos. Looking at them now, most are missing the majority of the photo - essentially only the initial shot is viewable.

Heard from a few friends that have experienced this - is this a known issue? User error?

Known issue for some units and I believe it's already been addressed.

Also note that when re-opening Photosphere (that's what they're called) pictures it can take a long time for the app to regenerate the picture. I've waited a couple of minutes (on my Pixel 2 XL) for it to fill everything in.
