3a or 3a XL?

I'm really considering getting Pixel 3a. But not sure about the size of the XL. Tonight I held it against my S10+ and they are almost the same size- the bezels. The XL may have a larger battery but I kinda want a smaller phone for a change. I'm used to all the Note and Galaxy lines. What advantage does the XL have over the 3a besides battery size?

3a is the way to go unless you want the bigger screen. The 3a and 3axl will get the same screen on time. XL will have better standby time.

The last 3 phones I have had before this were all big screen. Note 9, xs max, note 10+, and I can say that I am absolutely happy with the size of the 3a. Being able to use a phone with one handed is really nice. As far as battery goes, heavy usage or poor signal quality are quick to drain in my experience. At the same time I pulled 36 hours on a charge with almost 3 hours of sot. Battery life is always subjective to the users habits.
