3G/1G icon

Hey all,
I have noticed every once in a while maybe 1 time a week or so that my 1G/3G icon goes away. Hince this makes it to where web does not work and also email.
The only way I know to turn it back on is reboot the phone.
1) Does anyone else have this issue?
2) is there any other way to turn it back on with out rebooting the phone.

The only time I've noticed the 3G icon disappear is when my phone switches from 3G to Wifi

Yes I have noticed that too.. But I could be outside or even driving down the road and it just goes off. Phone works but the 3g doesn't work any more.

It's happened to me once or twice, but only happens for a few short seconds so it's never really interferred with anything. Occasionally you will drop coverage, the same happened to me on the Storm with the capitalized "1XEV" vs lowercase "1xev"

Try re-activating the phone. dial *228 and then press 1 to reactvate, or to download an updated PRL, *228 and then 3
