3g data patch

Just means your phone didn't activate properly. I had that happen the first time I flashed it too. Try *228 methods. If they don't work, flash back to a stock from like EH03, which should restore it, then try installing your choice of ICS rom again.

Thanks for the response. I've tried that. *22890 (because keypad goes away) for activating phone, then *22891 to update roaming, but it won't update because it says I don't have a data conection, which is true.

I have also tried going back to GB EH03, 3g works, then going back to ICS, various builds. I love ICS roms and sometimes I keep it ICS for a couple of days until I need mobile data again. Maybe I sould just keep tring?

Which/who's versions of ICS have you tried? When I had that issue, it was with THS 6.1 but just flashing back to stock and trying again fixed it the first time. Since then, THS 7.1 and 9.0 along with AOKP milestone 5 have all had working data for myself.

I even tried the trick of changing to CDMA only, then evdo, then back to CDMA auto once the 3g appears but it doesnt stick like many others apparently do... Any other suggestions? I am on AOKP milestone 6...

Just going off memory here so I could be wrong - wondering how you went through the install process. I THINK some people had issues with a data connection if they DID NOT flash the THS build2 Rom before installing AOKP after a full wipe.

Did you follow the listed AOKP install instruction in the OP of the thread over at XDA/RootzWiki?

You could always try starting again from stock and redownloading the packages.
