3g quiting??

In the past two days my 3g signal has gone completely out about 10 times. It says i have 3g at the top of my screen but my browser and email anything internet related wont work until i reset the phone. I have the network set at cdma only because I live about 20 miles from a 4g connection. Any ideas on whats wrong or how to fix it????

I would try pulling the battery and sim card out, leave them out for about 5 minutes. That'll reset the phone on the network.
