3g signal?

There are times when I shut my 4g off and the 3g icon doesn't show up at all. All it shows is the 5 bars but no "3g" icon or evdo or 1x or anything. It really kills my battery I dont know what is going on. I can still connect to the internet and send text messages and use slacker radio but there is no "3g" icon. Is this something I sould worry about.

I would assume since 4g wasn't "meant" to be shut off on the phone that it is just a display issue you are seeing I feel like your battery issues are stemmed from just use of the phone as long as the phone still connects to data is it really that big of a problem?

Frequently when I used to shut off or turn on 4G, it seemed like the phone didn't get the message right away so I would reboot and then everything worked as expected. I've stopped turning off 3G for the most part so I never really figured out what was going on exactly. You can try rebooting if you're not 'toggling' back and forth that frequently.

Sounds like it is not getting the message as was said above. Try reboot.
