Android 4.3 is rolling out and we're still stuck on 4.1.2 and there seems to be no mention of the first generation Galaxy Note anywhere? Will we get any updates or are we stuck with 4.1.2 for the foreseeable future?
Welcome to Android Central. I think you're stuck with 4.1 :\ The Note 2 seems to be getting its last update with 4.3 so I doubt the original note would even get it. You can always flash a custom ROM if you need 4.3 for some reasonAndroid 4.3 is rolling out and we're still stuck on 4.1.2 and there seems to be no mention of the first generation Galaxy Note anywhere? About the original Note getting updated to the latest OS,I think all Galaxy Note owners (I'm sure there are many) should come together in this forum(and other forums too thru members here)and demand Samsung to give us what our flagship devices deserve.C'mon,if KitKat4.4 is capable of running "perfectly" on a 512MB RAM,single core device, then y not the Galaxy Note?
I read somewhere online that Galaxy Nexus owners have got in touch with Google with a similar demand after Google left out their devices for the latest update.
Or you can modify you current android 4.1.2 and port it to 4.3. That is what I have done. I have manually upgraded my Android and now I am running self made Samsung stock 4.3 android. Checkout Screenshots.

You should consider devleoping ROMs!I've achieved this by rooting. And I'm not interested in non-Samsung 4.3 ROM (Cyanogenmod and all). I am talking about Samsung official 4.3 update for N7000.
What is stopping you from rooting your phone? The Note is pretty easy to root
