I experienced that when my Nexus 7 first updated to 4.4 but I haven't had that issue on my X for some reason.

Curious, where did you see that? I follow Punit Soni on G+ but haven't seen him say anything specifically about 4.4.2 coming to the X, but maybe I missed it.
Now that the Moto G has 4.4.2 will the Moto X receive it as well? Or is there no real difference for Moto to update the Moto X at this point?

The Moto G does not have 4.4.2, it was upgraded from 4.3 to KitKat 4.4. If you saw a tweet from another source the other day indicating an upgrade to 4.4.2 it was incorrect. I saw that and read the article which referenced 4.4 so I asked for clarification and they corrected both their tweet and article headline to read KitKat 4.4.

Many people on 4.4.2 (not just the X) are experiencing an exchange email issue where mail stops syncing. Supposedly, 4.4.2 address the issue and fixes it.
