45w charger

My thoughts exactly. IMO the benefits don't outweigh the cost of the 45W charger. I'm sticking with the 25W unless I can get a good deal on the 45W.

I'd do the same. The difference shouldn't be that bad. I never had issues charging notes in terms of speeds.

I hardly use the 25W charger that came with mine. It sits on my bag all alone.

All of my wireless chargers work great. I have the folding Samsung wireless charger that was released in 2017 with the S8/8+ at work, the Samsung dual wireless charger (2018) on my night stand, and an iOttie wireless car charging mount.

I only SUPER charge the phone @ 45w on a need to basis...usually when I am in a hurry and don't want to leave with the phone @ 60% or less.
This is the only reason I can think of for me buying a 45W charger.

Here is something that I just learned today. Google and Samsung phones are USB-C PD compliant. Meaning that if you have a third party USB-C PD compliant charger, it will work at the maximum power the charger is rated for.

I see this as more a compatibility issue to ensure chargers will work, rather than ensuring higher wattage. As we've seen with the Note 10 charging, using a stronger charger doesn't mean faster charging overall. These batteries are still small enough to not benefit from higher charge rates. You can only feed so much into them at once.

True. Charging a smart phone with a 100W charger would like filling a shot glass from a 1 gallon jug.

However, if the charger is not USB-C PD compliant, then fast charging won't work. Part of the PD standard is fast charging.

This is similar to different wireless charging standards. Qi vs PMA. Eventually OEMs will produce USB-C PD compliant phones.
