4G Causing Reboots (New Handset)

OK,

Last week I did the update and "BRICKED" my phone. Sprint sent out a new phone Friday.

- I activated the phone
- Restored all apps via app brain

Then, while configuring apps and email I noticed that the 4G was turned off. I tried turning it on and noticed that it was stuck reading "turning on".

I had to reboot the phone to get it to actually come on. Then i noticed that any app that used web access while in 4G mode would FORCE CLOSE. Eventually the 4G would cut its self off again or the phone would reboot repeadidly.

Sometimes it reboot again, before it finishes loading the "Sprint / 4G" logos. So,
Im on my way to the sprint store today in hopes that they can fix it. Has anyone else heard of a problem like this?

Btw...I have already Done a HARD RESET TWICE and...when 4G is off, all apps and phone works fine. Maybe I have a bad 4G anttena, which would cause another NEW handset. or Im hoping its software related.
 
Nope!

Definately didnt just to make sure it wasn't an app issue. I eventually configured my GMAIL only cause the problem continued and i really needed my email with me.

Any other suggestions?
 
Have you tried with the GPS on or off? Since you got the new phone from Sprint was it already updated?

If it wasn't updated it could actually be the GPS causing your problems, if not I'm a bit stumped and would probably suggest you exchange the phone. You don't want get stuck with a bad unit. (yes, that's what she said.. sorry).

Yeah, i didnt even turn GPS on until yesterday. So, I hope they give me another phone. I havent' even had a chance to mail back the 'old' one.
 
If they do give you a new device make sure you keep copies of all documentation involved in shipping the old device/devices back this is where a lot of people get in trouble with Sprint and there billing. Sprint warehouse staff have a hard time logging 2 returns in a short time for some reason.

Did you get the latest OTA update on the new phone?

And with both GPS & 4G left off the phone is fine?
 
Yeah, I turned off both 4G and GPS and though the phone did work longer before crashing.....it still did/does.

The store said they will have one in stock for me tomorrow. And i did right down the tracking number for my returned phone.
